The Galt House Hotel is the BESTEST!
We had a fantastic time in Louisville, KY when we attended the "Bestest Friend" event. It was held in Louisville's famous Galt House in the downtown area. I really can't say enough good things about the exceptional hotel staff.
I write often about the importance of customer service; the customer service at the Galt House gets my highest ranking. (I should put my rankings online sometime. A MissDazey top ranking is high praise indeed.)
Here are just a few of the nice things that happened. I apologize that I didn't write down names.
- Check-in was simple. We parked in their garage across the street from main lobby not knowing where it was. No problem, gentleman at information desk directed us and called for bellman. The sweetest woman at the front desk checked us in, welcomed us to Jeanne's event, and answered questions.
- Galt House people were most helpful. Georgia locked herself out of her room however, security was there to unlock her clock very quickly and with a smile. I had several occasions when a staff member helped me. Honesty, I was babied for 4 days by Galt House team members. (Big thank-you to all who helped the old lady with a walker.)
- Galt House people smiled and answered questions. Besides that everyone was patient which I found remarkable. The hotel was packed, people everywhere but one would have thought we were the only guest there. (You can see answering questions is high on my priory list.)
- Cafe Magnolia breakfast...can you say yummy! We had breakfast there two mornings. It was lovely to watch the Ohio River flow gently by as we had another cup of coffee. Kudos to the omelet chef. Of course, our servers were nice; everyone is nice at the Galt House.
The Galt House is an outstanding and beautiful hotel, has every amenity anyone could want, and accommodations to fit every need.They are a convention hotel, truly an event planner's dream hotel. Hundred of blog articles have reviewed it. I don't write travel reviews, but I do comment on customer service. That's why I wrote about the Galt House...they have the BESTEST CUSTOMER SERVICE.
