This Too Will Pass

OK, Mr. Weather Man, it's time for sunshine and warm days to return. People with different aches and pains cannot tolerate changing weather, especially the cold wet day we have had lately. It’s more than just a sore knee telling the old timers it’s going to rain, it’s “I hurt allover” reaction. It’s been cool enough that I am turning on heaters and sleeping in a flannel nightgown.
Tuesday was a pretty day, sunny and nice. I went to lunch with a good friend; we sat and visited for a long time. When we got up to leave my legs would not move, were completely numb. After a second I was able to walk until I got to the step down, NOTHING MOVED AGAIN. It was as if my brain was asking my legs to move, but they were out on strike. It took both my friend and the waitress to get me to the car. When we got to my house, Jacque helped me in. Now, my right ankle was going one way, knee another. We attended the spring concert of the Willard Middle School that evening and once again I needed help walking.
It is all very discouraging to say the least. I keep wondering how much of this nonsense is arthritis and RA, how much is the weight I’ve gain or how much is being lazy. All I know for sure is I am sick and tired of being sick and tired.

Thank-you dear little blog for letting me vent

  1. Aw, MissDazey, I hope the weather in your part of the world is being nicer now, warm and sunny. Sounds like the problems you're having could be RA and osteoarthritis; weight gain sure doesn't help, but don't be silly -- you're not lazy. Pain and stiffness makes it HARD to move around a lot. I hope you'll be feeling better very soon.
