I was a guest at Coxhealth’s Out Patient Surgery this past Wednesday afternoon. Everyone was so very nice and kind; they have customer service down to a fine art. If it had not have been the occasion for my visit, I would like to return. Thank-you everyone from the volunteers to Dr. W. As I have said in many blog posts, I have a dreadful phobia for all things medical. However, I got through the procedure, Temporal Artery Biopsy, with no major panic attacks. (The results of the biopsy were negative.)
Of course, I found some of it extremely funny. Like being in a papoose wrap during the surgery. I thought that was only for little kids. I’d ask for a pill to quiet my nerves, but didn’t get it. Therefore, I was talking too fast, too loud, and saying strange things. Oh, I am so embarrassed. The only thing that truly was painful was the fact they couldn’t get my BP and kept trying and trying. They changed cuffs and machines 2 or 3 times, and pumped my arm until I cried. Finally, Dr. W told them to stop, thank goodness.
Mr. Wonderful was simply wonderful. I thought he was going back up and work at his volunteer assignment, but bless his heart was stayed in the waiting room. I felt awful about that.
I am so very, very thankful to be so healthy. TYF
